Our Story about Next-Gen Nutrition
24Food was founded on the idea that research and public information about next-gen nutrition is scattered and not readily accessible to the public. In fact, next-gen nutrition doesn't even have a proper definition on the web. When we started this project, we knew that next-gen meant something to us; it was simply about noticing and becoming inspired by the incremental changes in trends within the food industry.
Next-gen nutrition is about more than just the products—it is a new way of living. Next-gen nutrition is the combination of nutrition, science and technology created to improve the future of our health and environment.
The Facts
There is a global epidemic of malnutrition, unbalanced eating, environmental pollution, and an unprecedented rise in health conditions ranging from Diabetes to Cardiovascular Diseases that need to be addressed by the public. Some 795 million people in the world do not have enough food to lead a healthy and active life. That's about one in nine people on earth. Why? Because food is expensive (sometimes even sparse) and a balanced diet is costly. The global prevalence of Diabetes among adults over 18 years of age has risen from 4.7% in 1980 to 8.5% in 2014. Why? Because rather than focusing on early prevention, there is more focus on treatment at onset. In 2008, heart disease caused almost 25% of deaths—almost one in every four—in the United States. Heart disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women. Why? Because we do not always have the time, energy and information to lead healthy lives and eat the right kinds of foods to prevent illness.

24Food's mission is to spread awareness about the next-gen way of living, grounded in science and focused on nutrition and technology, to help increase and improve the sustainability of human lives.
The Reason We Created Superhero Box ®
A child’s nutrition affects the psychological well-being and even predicted future income, with negative effects and prospects if the child is either over-fed or malnourished.
Just because a child eats, doesn’t mean he is getting a proper nutrition.
As parents, we are either the type that buys the proper nutrition, carefully selecting healthy produce to pack into our kid’s lunchboxes, or we’re the type of parents that don’t have time for careful selection, and buy ready-made food lunches, like Lunchables, to satisfy our kid’s appetites.
In both case scenarios, we either lose time, or lose money, and in the cases of ready-made food lunches like Lunchables, we also risk a lack of nutritional value in our kid’s daily diet.
